Lemongrass (Organic, Cut and Sifted)

Lemongrass is a plant, and its leaves and the oil are used to make medicine. Lemongrass has been used traditionally in Cuban and Brazilian folk medicine, in a tea called abafado. Orally, lemongrass is used for treating gastrointestinal spasms, stomachache, high blood pressure, epilepsy, various types of pain, vomiting, cough, inflammation, fever, common cold, diabetes, and fatigue. It is also used orally for relaxation and sleep, as an antiseptic, and mild astringent. Topically, lemongrass and its essential oil are used for dandruff, headache, stomachache, abdominal pain, rheumatoid arthritis (RA), and pain. By inhalation, the essential oil of lemongrass is used as aromatherapy for pain, and also for infections such as the flu or a cold. In food and beverages, lemongrass is used as a flavoring, and in manufacturing, lemongrass is used as a fragrance in deodorant, soaps, and cosmetics.
