Devil’s Claw Root (Organic, Cut and Sifted)

Devil's claw is an herb native to South Africa, including the Kalahari Desert, where it's been used traditionally for many conditions. It similarly is found in the Southwestern United States, and has been an important plant amongst the Native American Tribes of the region. Devil's claw contains chemicals that might decrease swelling. Because of this, it is often used to treat conditions that involve both pain and inflammation. Devil's claw is most commonly used for back pain and osteoarthritis, and it is sometimes compared to having an effectiveness similar to NSAIDs (such as ibuprofen). When used appropriately, Devil’s Claw is generally well tolerated for most people, however, the most common adverse effects of Devil’s Claw are an upset stomach, diarrhea, and sometimes allergic skin reactions.
